I began the Wired series when I became fascinated with the power lines in Baltimore.  I like the strong linear quality and the directional movement of the intersecting wires and how they create complicated patterns.  To accentuate the details, I removed them from their chaotic backdrop of buildings and alleys and placed them on simple backgrounds.  Each silhouette is cut from a single piece of black paper and suspended in a shadow box.  I began this work in March 2008 and continue to work on the theme.
